Testing Chambers / Arenas: 

 

Cardiff, UK

- 2 x Peet-Grady chambers
- 3 x 30m  featureless behavioural chambers (white rooms)
- 2 x 90m  chambers which can be sub-divided into 6x units of 15m3 or 3 x units of 30m3
- 2 x 20m² featureless experimental chambers used for crawling insect behavioural studies
- 2 x 1000L controlled climate chambers (temperature, RH% and light conditions can be carefully
modulated to accommodate the specific requirements for the arthropod test system)
- 1 x 1500L plant growth cabinet (temperature, ambient CO2, RH% and light conditions can be optimised
relative to the growing requirements of specific plants)
- A fixed pressure and temperature climate cabinet (0-65°C) with a temperature fluctuation of ±1°C
allowing for accelerated ageing of treated articles or test items
- 2 x 10-20m  chambers fitted with close control environmental conditioning machinery to allow for a
very narrow climate to be imposed on the test environment
- 1 x 10m  chamber fitted with high-lux light banks allowing an environment for a large number of plants
to grow outside of the external growing season
- 2 x 15m² insectaries, allowing for mass production of a number of the familiar pest species. Insect
cultures are maintained under strict environmental and hygienic conditions
- A 360L close-control, forced air refrigerator used for storing samples with unknown stability, fitted with an
audible and visual alarm for system and sensor failure

- Over 1000 purpose built arenas for molluscicide testing
- Controlled laboratory facilities for product development and screening


Spain

- 1 x 30m  chamber, climate and light time controlled for insect testing for both biocides and plants
- 1 chamber with climate control for insect culturing and testing for both biocides and plants
- 1 chamber without climate control for insect testing (attractants/repellents for fleas, ticks, etc)

- 120 m² of temperature controlled laboratories
- 1500 L plant growth incubator, 0-50°C, RH 50-90%, light intensity 0-30 000 lux, photoperiod adjustable
- 400 L incubator, 0-65°C, RH 50-90%, photoperiod adjustable
- 250 L incubator, -10 °C - +50 °C, photoperiod adjustable
- 300 L incubator 0 - 99.9°C, photoperiod adjustable


USA

- 4 x 33 m  testing chambers, temperature controlled, 6 air changes per hour
- 1 x 115.5 m  large testing chamber, temperature controlled, 6 air changes per hour
- 1 x 6 m  Peet-Grady chamber for direct spray and free-flying insect treatments
