i2L-East was the first non-UK branch office of i2LResearch Ltd, established in the Czech Republic in 2008. Managed by Dr Pavel Foltan, i2l-East occupies offices and laboratories in the newly created Innovative Centre of the University of South Bohemia.
Due to an on-going collaboration with the University and the Institutes of Entomology and Parasitology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, i2l-East has access to various technologies, sites and experts in the University and the Institutes.
i2L-East specialises in conducting field or semi-field product efficacy studies. In its relatively short history i2L-East has successfully completed projects on various pest species, i.e. headlice, ticks, clothes moths, fleas, slugs, bed bugs, cockroaches, pharaoh ants, darkling beetles, wasps and mosquitoes.
i2L-East holds the GLP certification for laboratory insectide or repellent trials and GEP certification for conducting product registration trials in agriculture and horticulture.
The indoor facility comprises of well-equipped laboratories, white rooms and Sanyo incubators enabling us to conduct various laboratory efficacy trials, including precise simulation of insect winter diapause. i2l-East holds laboratory strains of Aedes albopictus, Aedes aegypti and Culex quinquefasciatus and has direct access to cultures of hard and soft ticks at the Institute of Parasitology.

Option 1. Direct. Take Bus AE, pay 50 CZK to the driver, get out at "Hlavní nádraží".
Option 2. Cheapest. Take Bus 119 to "Dejvická" station, change to underground line A and go to station "Muzeum", then change to line C and go one station to "Hlavní nádraží"
Option 1. Through Prague: Take Bus 119 to "Dejvická" station, change to underground line A and go to station "Můstek", then change to line B and go three station to "Anděl". Exit the train and take the exit near the front of the train. Then take the third stairs on the left to get to the station.
Option 2. More direct. Take Bus 100 to "Zličín" station, change to underground line B and go to station "Anděl". Exit the train and take the exit near the rear of the train. Then take the third stairs on the left to get to the station. These buses have should be booked in advance.
In most cases you will need a 32CZK ticket (valid for 90 min) which can be bought
a) in the ticketmachine near the bus terminal (change required)
b) in the Prague information centre (number 23, Level 0,Terminal 1)
c) in the Relay shop (numbers 70-77)

Basically you can go by train or by bus.
Trains can be almost like an adventure, but usually you can get to Ceske Budejovice in under 3 hours. You do not have to book a seat in advance, but it can be quite crowded when travelling on Friday and Sunday. The time table is here and Departure is "Praha" and Destination is Ceske Budejovice.
Buses are operated by a company named Student agency. Their buses are yellow coloured. These buses should be booked in advance and are the most comfortable and also the cheapest way to get to Ceske Budejovice. They depart from the bus station "Na Knížecí". The staff speaks English and you can get a free hot drink.
